What was your Residence Visa Application like?
To be very honest, it was so stressful before the Silver Fern Immigration family held our hands. Before Silver Fern Immigration’s assistance, we had submitted two Resident Visa applications to Immigration New Zealand. Those were declined. Aarmeena had lost her mind to the stress of the immigration process; it scared her to prepare the papers and answer the immigration questions. The process started haunting her. Every time anyone asked Aarmeena about immigration, she literally shivered; but she started feeling very positive and comfortable after she met Erica and the team at Silver Fern Immigration. The best part of the whole process was that Erica and her team treated us like family. Silver Fern Immigration handled both Aarmeena’s (emotional) health and immigration concerns with so much maturity and optimism.

When did you and your family arrive in New Zealand?
Aman arrived in New Zealand in July 2010 - as an international student. Aarmeena and Sarjeet arrived in March 2011.

Why did you and your family decide to move to New Zealand?
Both Aman’s brothers were in Australia. Aman thought that he would try his luck in New Zealand. We were both stressed out about our son’s future [in India]. Finding employment was a struggle and the systems in our country were not keeping up. We wanted our child to have a fair and good life. We wanted him to learn about honest and fair dealings and prevent him from being exposed to the corrupt practices [in India]. Aman, being a lover of nature, preferred to explore the beauty of New Zealand.

How did you find Silver Fern Immigration’s service?
We are short of words to describe what Silver Fern Immigration has done for us. They never asked us to run around for useless paperwork; they were straight on the point, and they were sure about what they were going to do.They worked in coordination with the employer and faced immigration questions very professionally and genuinely. Their knowledge about the residency process is vast. They have thorough knowledge about skilled employment, and immigration requirements.

Silver Fern Immigration does not treat people like clients - but like family.”

If you could give one piece of advice to new migrants, what would it be?
Very, very, very important thing to remember is to follow the right direction by selecting the most genuine and competent immigration consultants - like Silver Fern Immigration to sort out your immigration needs. The process is far more than just filling out forms. Silver Fern Immigration is the best amongst all!

What do you love about New Zealand?
The people. We love every day that we spend here, from beginning to end, because of the smiles we get from the people we know and even those we don’t know! They are helpful and do not judge us by our nationality. The companies that employ us, trust us to do our work. They give fair treatment to all nationalities. The people in New Zealand are the best - maybe it is the effect of the all the surrounding beauty - all the natural flora and fauna around us.

What are your hopes and dreams for you and your family in New Zealand?
We never thought about dollars when we decided to come to this country; and we still feel the same. We are not in the race of earning money. New Zealand has given us the best already: beautiful people and beautiful relationships. People who reached out to us during our time of need.

Our only hope is that our son, Sartaj, does well in his lifetime. We hope he never burdens the community with any wrongdoing. We both came this far, leaving our old parents on their own, all for this only child of ours. So, all our hopes are centred on him - until we try for another child. We want to spread smiles to these people who have given us so much. Silver Fern Immigration does not treat people like clients - but like family. They treat them like family who have travelled a long way, leaving behind their blood relatives to find and explore new hopes and dreams for their coming generation. We feel blessed to know the Silver Fern Immigration Team.
